Just had a great weekend of wildlife photography. I have a couple of Little Owls I have near here which has become a project to document them and at the same time get me out doing more photography to build up my skills.
I was also out at Tophill Low nature reserve and saw an amazing variety of wildlife. Although not getting to many good photographs. This Marsh Harrier teasing me with being just to far away for a clear photograph using a Nikon D3 with 70-200mm lens and 2x converter. The light level was low so I had to increase the ISO to about 1600 which made the image grainy when enlarged. Also found the auto focus on the slow side. This Water Vole was more co-operative as it was swimming just in front of the hide.
